BIO-RADIX LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR IGUZZINi

Designed for iGuzzini, the luminaire Bio-radix has blades of light that are both decorative and functional. The lines of glass in compacted surfaces allow natural light to penetrate interiors thereby creating a sense of continuity between internal and external space, respecting man’s circadian rhythms. The Bio-radix can artificially reproduce the changes in intensity and color temperature typical of natural light. The result is an attractively designed concept, destined for large spaces, residential and offices, that exploits all the potential of LEDs.

This is another step forward in the field of biodynamic light that raises our quality of life, an issue that iGuzzini has been committed to since 1988, when it launched S.i.v.r.a., its first research project, conducted together with the Lighting Research Center in Troy (NY) to study the effects of artificial lighting on the psycho-physiological well-being of people in confined spaces—now enhanced with the Libeskinds’ design.

The project was realized collaboratively with Lev Libeskind, Daniel Libeskind, and their respective studios.
